2004 BMW 530i with a 6-spd manual trans."Betty the Bimmer" only had her about 2 months, still getting used to her. This morning, on the way to work, while accelerating up an incline, from stop, going through the gears, and all of the sudden....goes into 'Limp Mode'
Rough idle, between 1k and 2k rpm....bucking....engine malfunction warning came up. was not able to really go any further. Luckily i limped it back home and shut it off in the driveway. I waited a minute, and turned it back on and it ran fine.
Sooo, what the heck happened???? Never did this before...it did always seem to have some hesitation while accelerating through the gears. It's not showing any codes; Only warnings are the Active Steering Inactive and Some passenger restraint Warning.
Any help or suggestions where to start looking would be appreciated.
