Please comment on the ride of the 545i sport? Just took delivery 500+ miles feel a shake in the body at various speeds mostly in the seat and the shift in 5 th and 6th. Sounds like a wheel balance had it checked no change.
Thanks

It's probably the tire balance. Have them balance them anyways. If they cant find a problem take it to another dealer. I dont really know what else would cause the problem unless you have a pronlem with your engine

250 miles on my 545 and no issues but I have an automatic due to the commute. Have the techs driven your car and replicated the problem? I'm south of Boston and have been very pleased with BMW Gallery in Norwell.

if everything was smooth and no tire change, and then it started vibrating, you could have a rim out of round. you may have to diagnosis this yourself...
rotate tires to see if the problem moves.
i had the same problem before and had the rims put on a balancer, steady a screw driver (not touching the rim) at different points, move the wheel by hand.
in my case, i put the screw driver just under the top of the inside of rim (almost touching the inside rim), and moved the wheel. at one point, the rim touch and moved the screw driver... showing where the rim was bent. was replaced and vibration went away. by the way, the balancer balanced this wheel perfectly by spec.

You can't really rotate the tires on the 545i Sport.
In my experiences, I've found that the stiff sidewall of the run-flats coupled with the wide tires can transmit road imperfections back through the car on rough roads.
I was driving yesterday on an older concrete highway and I could feel a seat-of-the-pants vibration that stopped if the road changed to a smoother, asphalt surface.
If you still think that the problem is with wheel balance, you might try to find a shop that can do a "finish balance" which is a special machine that can spin-balance the wheel assembly while installed on the car. What that does is balance everything as a set, the wheel, the tire, the rotor, the lug nuts, etc.
