I decided to try using the manual feature of the autobox today, for now I am only using it to shift up a gears and not down through the gears. I found that on my way home from my parents that my est miles till empty went from 360 - 375. Also coming home from PC world i reset the average consumption to see what i would get, previously it was reading 22mpg but when I got home using the manual shift ups i got it to read 41.3mpg. Some of the journey was in a 60 and some was in the 30, it is no more effort than a manual shift. Its early days i know but wouldnt it be good if getting better consumption was that easy

Anyway, I might try it for a while to see if it make much of a difference.
