Hi parmblagan,
It's not the tire size, it all about the rim ET's and of course about the wheel width.
So what wheels do you have and what are the ET on them?
I have now the 19" 172M wheels and the ET's and sizes are
front 8,5x19 ET18 and rear 9,5x19 ET32.
(Tires are f 245/40 and r 275/35 19").
I have 8 mm spaceres with the rear wheels, so the ET is thus 24.
The right tire size for E60 20" wheels are f 245/30 and r 275 or 285/25.
PS. See also my sign.

I went with 275/35/20 in rear and 245/30/20 in front, works fine for me and looks pretty damn aggressive. The front wheels look sick they are so thin, so have to watch the potholes for sure!

resurected. ive been running 245 30 20 and 285 25 20 invos for 3 summers. light driving. kinda shitty roads. im taking the 285 25 20s off. i cant take the rear anymore. it rides like asshole. plus it feels like the rear is always dipping i dunno if its my imagnation or whatever because i actually have a lil rear rake. imma try 275 30 maybe even 285 30. i dont care bout the diameter being off i do care bout softening it up some
