My Ride: 2004 March E60 530i, Titanium Silver with Black Dakota Leather, Style 124 18" Alloy, Active Steering, Adaptive headlights, Auto-Dim Int+Folding Ext Mirrors, Auto Aircon Advanced, Brushed Aluminium Trim, CD Changer, Comfort Seats, De-Chrome, Dynamic Drive, Electric Glass Sun Roof, Graduate Tinted Windscreen, Heated Front Seats, Natvigation Professional, Sport Steering wheel, Sun Protection Glass, TV function
Please help, UK E60 owners.
For the UK spec cars, am I right that the CD drive above the Sat Nav DVD drive is MP3 compatable? I've burnt a CD with MP3 files, apparently it only works in my home DVD player or my Computer, I thought the CD drive on the Dash can play MP3 as well and it will show the songs name on the iDrive screen?!?!
Also, my car is fitted with Auto Aircon advanced, does the UK specs normally include the Auxiliary Heater? I only have independant ventilation on the iDrive.
It is in the driver menu but I can't find it on the 5 Series/accessory broucher. So I'm note sure if it is a case of updating the iDrive to get it or to order one for handware installation? Is this feature excluded for the UK models?

My Ride: E61 525iA Build 2004/08. "Safirschwartz Metallic". Navi Pro, Adaptive Headlights, Bi-Xenon, Panorama Sunroof etc... CIP 18.00.01 (No noticed bug)
First question: The player itself is compatible, but you can't play your MP3 CD:s (as you have navigation pro....). As I've read in this forum, next CIP-release (19) will include support for MP3 in your in dash player. Same sources say this will be available in September.
