Hi all can ye help me 2 day i pulled up at traffic lights and car started to rev up and down like mad and than stop if i start after 20 mins it was ok again 2 codes dme/dde 2e8e and 2a98

 

2E8E is a code for the IBS. Could be bad or need a new battery. Did you have your battery replaced recently.

2A98 is a VANOS code the unit could be going bad, the hook ring seals or Vanos solenoid inlet. Once you figure it out change oil

 

How do i figure out which 1 it is

 

Some body out their must of had this issue

 

Take it apart and see what is bad

 

take what apart.i also looked up on net that code is related to the camshaft sencor wud this be true and were can I find this

I hope it is your camshaft sensor but I don't see those failing too often. The possible issue I gave was the most common. How many miles do you have

 

128,000miles on clock this prob only happens every so often not all the time
