where in SD do you live? i can give you a ride to show you how my ride feels with 20's, spacers, and springs. i don't think it's that bad. although my stock 18's feel like pillows. lol

Have a square 20 x 9.5 all the way around with no rubbing except for huge bumps or really steep driveways taken too fast. I drive my car fairly hard yet found an almost negligible difference in ride quality going from stock square 17 setup. If you rode in my car you'd be hard pressed to feel that the rims are that large. Ride quality is better than my old g35 when stock.

I lived in San Diego 2009-2010. It was pretty bad out there, but weather was perfect. Roads in FL are pretty good, though I moved back to the Jacksonville beaches area, that photo is at TPC Sawgrass.
It's all relative but a stock Z would ride WAY worse than my car. I was pleasantly surprised how little it affected the ride. I'm using 245/35 tires (slight stretch) so same size tire as most with 19s
