Na buddy dont think soo. The car comes with 18 stock. Why would you wanna go so small it would take away from the vehicles ride performance. A 550 is not a rice burner. Oh and you cant go too big either the weight of the rims put a strain on the tranny. I'm just saying!

16s will not clear the front brake calipers. some 17s will.

the "upstate" is for upstate, NY - being from brooklyn you know how bad it gets over here.

Right now she's wearing a 19" setup (166's) with W rated summer tires - they arent going to do me a lot of good when the snow falls.

i know ill need a smaller rim, winter-only tires, and serious a feather-foot to get me through nov->march

I have to assume a 17" would fit right? am I seriously limited to 18's at the smallest?

18 is your best bet IMO. Even with 17's and snow tires the car would not be able to drive in aot of accumulated snow. Its a rear wheel 4.8 V8..

17s from an E60 RWD (ie not an Xi) will be fine.

the non-sports pkg 550s came with 17s. not a problem.
