The only problem I have had is that some songs end before they are really complete. I'm not sure if that was due to a bump in the road. I will keep testing and enjoying the MP3.
Another mystery...

I have experienced that, too. I am not sure what it is. I was not aware of hitting any major bumps in the road at the time it happened. At first I thought that something was wrong with the mp3 file itself, when I burned the disk, but when I skipped back to replay the song, it finished just fine.

I also have the problem with the mp3 the songs skip when it's half way and then when i go back it finishes the complete song and my eyebrows are still not working.

One question I have. Do I need to remind them to keep mp3 enabled next time they update the SW, or do they see that I have mp3 and make sure it is still there after any type of sw upgrade?

I was also wondering about the blue tooth myself my car is made on 07/04 , i'm not sure is it something they can turn on or i have to do a retrofit. I know how you feel about telling the bmw reps about looking in the SIB it's like telling them to do their job when some already do know what their doing blue tooth, i'll ask the next time i take it into the dealer for my brakes coming up in 3000 miles.
I also have my BMW's serviced at Valencia BMW. My 525i is a 03/04 build. I had a software up date based on some of the problems with older software that I read about on this board. I gave my SA the bulletin on bluetooth update, and the turned it on for free when they did the upgrade. My car as I said is a 03/04 build and does not have navigation. The bluetooth works perfectly with my v3c phone.

Thanks for the heads up can i use for reference when i take my car in for brake service next month, i will ask them if they can enable bluetooth , but i have navigation so i don't know if they need to do anything else, thanks. Hopefully the bluetooth works then, i'm okay with or without blue tooth, but i love my mp3 since it's been working.

MDT,
Are you confusion Bluetooth for MP3 capability? I wasn't aware that the software update also enabled bluetooth capability as well. Anyway, if they did the bluetooth one, could you shoot me a pm with the page you got it from. I did a search, but there are so many instances of bluetooth on the forum. I have a 02/04 with nav, so maybe I'll be in luck.

I believe the bluetooth update only worked on cars built from 03/04 on, and then only if the software version was updated. Here is the SIB that I took to my SA to have it done. By the way, the SA I dealt with was Mark David. He took good care of me and even provided a BMW loaner even though I hadn't bought my 525i from them. Because of his good service, I did buy a new X5 from the dealership.

Good luck,

Okay i'm going to cross my fingers and i'll ask for mark david when i see them next time, they are so good with their service and i think they are moving to a bigger facility that's what my last SA told me it's really big and they have up to 30 techs to work on our cars so there will be at least 30 loaners. I'll bring the SIB along so they can see it if necessary. I'll keep you guys updated once i bring my car in. I already have my MP3 and if the blue tooth works also, that will be a plus but not necessary, i have head phones anyways.
