I was wondering when someone was going to make the distinction between the wheel and the crank.

I think the non-Ms, it would be noticeable, but what's more important, I think, is torque, which is probably what you feel at the seat of your pants. HP can influence torque, but 10 hp may not do something significant. Still, I'm sure you would feel it. What about something like a BMS air filter, a cold air intake and rpi scoops? Should be, what, atleast a boost in 20hp? You should be able to feel that for less than $300. I think that would be worth it; I know that's really what I'm leaning towards now, although I shift my list-of-wants alot. So while 10 may not be a whole lot, couple it with a few other things and it could add up fast and really make a difference.
HP can influence torque... How so? HP is a result of torque at a given RPM.

20hp for cold air intake and rpi scoops ? Doubt it. Proper aftermarket filters (and not the open crappy ones that heat soak everything from the engine bay)
have dyno tested for 3-7hp. Don't know about the rpi scops but i don't think it'll make up for the difference

Is it worth it ? Well a cai and a catback exhaust did make my old car more responsive but my pocket lighter by ?700. Depends how you justify things.
There are far better hp/cost mods but usually cost quite a bit

I agree, personally i wouldn't bother with small mods as the gains per ? are a waste of money, IMO you are better going all out and adding a remap or Supercharger!!

I just have a more highly refined Personal Acceleration Index (PAI) than the petite bourgeoisie.

not adding, but taking off the afe CAI...i know i know i decreases performance a lot but i jus wanted to know if it did so by a lot (around 10 hp or whatever)

i think ill jus keep i tin there for a while since i paid for it and no one wants to pay more than 50 for it....i like the sound anyway...thats the only thing that doesnt make me feel bad about wasting all that money on it.

thanks

The psychology of 10 added hp might be more noticeable than any real gain in acceleration.
