10hp at the wheels or 10hp at the crank? 10hp across the band, or 10 peak hp gained at 2000 rpm?
Most likely in a car over 3500 lbs you are not going to feel it. If you do, chances are it is all in your mind. 10 hp in my 2570lb MX-5, you will notice that.
Put it this way, 10hp at the wheels, in the meat of the power band, in a 3500+lb car might get you through the 1/4 mile .05-.10 seconds faster... not very noticeable.

I had RPi do a before and after dyno on my exhaust, which gained 10 HP / 25 ft lbs of torque and there was a huge noticeable gain in hp.
NO doubt about it, and I have a dyno graph posted on the RPI GT Race exhaust thread to back it up.

You'd be more likely to notice a 25 ft-lbs gain in torque (especially getting off the line or coming out of a low speed corner) than a 10 bhp gain in horsepower.

I guess it depends on the person who can really pay attention to the power difference!

No sh*t Sherlock. Dropping a blown V10 in there might help as well, but that's not what the OP was asking.

I previously owned a Ford Lightning and have added a mod that adds 11hp at the wheels. In a 4200lb truck, you cannot even tell. The truck had 402hp/501 lbtq at the wheels.
