I don't use the rain sensor anymore (and this is Scandinavia guys - NOT sunny California!) after having some kind of treatment/coat put on the window when I had my car polished. Best investment I ever made. And it lasts almost two years before it needs to be applied again.

Btw, are rain sensors an option or standard with the car? My car has it but wasnt too sure if the dealer just added it in. Quite satisfied with it actually, only needed to do it manually occasionally and it pours where i live. But agree that the wipers are quite slow unless you drive faster.

the #1 thing I hate the most on my e60 is that @#$% MPG meter...! I cant seem to stop staring at it as I accelerate and it goes down to 12... im sure it would go to "1" if it was there!
