I too agree the rain sensor is c**p. The amount of time I played 'chicken' with it 
(i.e. wait to the last minute before pressing the stalk manually, by then I was dangerously close to not being able to see anything through the windscreen) and yet on other days when the windscreen is almost dry or has light spray of rain, it works feverously :thumbsdown: .

Wow! I've got to vote the other way. My sensor and wipers do a great job. The faster I go the faster they go. The harder it rains* the faster they go.
* Haven't had much rain here in Georgia but enough to be happy with the wipers.

the # 1 thing would be that it's on a train somewhere between Halifax and Vancouver and I'm in Vancouver !!!

Just a short question (haven`t got the manual at hand), can you turn on a preset interval wipe ? Or is it only "sensor", "normal speed" and "double speed" ?Have a dry day
PS: Wax or rain-x really helps, but it goes away after a while

My Ride: F11 -14
I don't use the rain sensor anymore (and this is Scandinavia guys - NOT sunny California!) after having some kind of treatment/coat put on the window when I had my car polished. Best investment I ever made. And it lasts almost two years before it needs to be applied again.

I've REALLY come to dislike the way the ventilation fan turns ON every time you crank the car. I rarely want it on and have to turn it off EVERY time I crank the car...a real PITA!

I had numerous complaints about the rain sensors on mine. The first two service visits resulted in adjustments to the thing, which made no difference. Third time around, the dealer concluded that the sensor must be malfunctioning and promptly replaced it under warranty. No complaints at all since then.
