My Ride: F10 M-Sport
Model Year: 2014
I briefly saw an 2009 E60 today,
Two things that i noticed during my limited glance at this car.
It looked like the wheels for the base models have changed from the 138 style to someting that looked similiar to the ones seen on a 3 series.
The second item I noticed was an X DRIVE emblem/badge located just under the side marker turn signal. To me this badge looked very out-of-place and extremely CHEESEY. IMO its really takes away from the vehicle's appearance. This would def be the First thing I'd remove if i bought an 09 XI model.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Yes, all xDrive car has since the MY '09 the badge located just under the side marker turn signal
and if you have the bage rear it only indicates the engine ie 535i or 530d.
The wheels are a new design of 17" wheels, the Style 243.

My Ride: 2008 528i, Space Grey, Nav, PDC, Premium, Sports, Grey Leather, Xenon, Cornering...
I think the badging looks much better than the xi of the past. Also, I was driving the 2009 3 series with xdrive (+ snow tires of course) last week, that thing works miracles... I love the xdrive feature. Though I did get some drifting action in heavy packed snow (might have been some ice underneath) it was awesome.

Not necessarily....the '09 528's come with a totally new wheel design, unlike the 243's, that look more like a 3 would have. His OP did not say which model. They kind of resemble the 167's, with a bit more triangular design.
Style 243 (standard 17"), 122 (17") 124, 135 and 246 (all 18").

I think it looks ridiculous. I didn't know it was introduced in the MY 09 until I checked BMWUSA and saw it on the sides of the car. Still, it wasn't clearly visible, but after some squinting I made it out to be "xdrive." And then I realized that it said that on the 535 xdrive icon I had clicked.
Glad I got mine an 08. I dunno how good the new iDrive is, but it better be giving handjobs to make up for that hideous badge. Reminds me of Ford and Toyota/Lexus badging all their hybrids with that gay green leaf or something similar.
