Haha, I am sure if people have found tips that look similar to RPI's, there would be many people that have jumped on that do get the quad look.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your post, but it wasn't intended to be funny. Is there some harm in asking? And not quads...just duals on the drivers side.

I don't have any pics.....the flapper is inside one of the muffler tips....the right one I believe. You should see a lever sticking out of the right side muffler tip that has a rod connected to it, that connects to a vacuum controlled actuator.

This is a turbo wastegate actuator...but the muffler actuator looks similar to this...

Also, you might want to make sure that the vacuum line that was connected to your actuator has been plugged when the RPI exhaust went on. If it's not plugged then you'll have a vacuum leak.

I'd say go with the RPI exhaust - proven HP gains and awesome sound. Removing the resonators may not give the same performance gains that RPI does.

Cool, thanks!! I will take another look at the mufflers when I get home, but I don't recall it being there. And, there was no vacuum hose when I did the RPI install. I looked for it and thought it was weird that I didn't have what was shown on the RPI install site. Are there different versions of the muffler? My car is an March 2008 build date.

Thanks again!

Why do people video tape exhaust clips indoors?
