Has anybody changed or removed the bulb in the rear roof light console? I am looking for info on how to get the plastic cover off. I'm sure it just prys off...but I'm hoping someone has done it and can tell me if it prys from the front or the back. I really don't want to break any tabs/clips or the like. Thanks!

I pried it from the back. I used a special tool, however you can use a flat head or even a strong credit card. Here is a DIY with some pics:

I have done that, its not really hard as it seems to be. u need to insert a credit card or something like that in the back side of the light. there is two clips try to locate them. then push them using the card. try it and if u could not do it let me kno. I am ganna change my bulbs maybe this weekend so I would take some pics for u if u couldnt figure out how

you are in AL, so you should be OK, However, make sure it is not too cold out to limit the possibility of clip breakage.

excellent...this is just what I needed. I had the dealer remove the bulb from the front roof console...now I am gonna remove the bulb from the rear.

I really like the cabin lighting at the footwells and the lights under the exterior mirrors...but to get those, you have to also have the roof lights. Those are way to bright for me, so I had the whole lot of them turned off...so now I'm gonna have both of the roof lights removed and then have only the footwell, and mirror lights. If I do happen to need more light, I can always manually use those "spot" lights...2 in the front roof console, and 2 in the rear roof console.

Thanks for the replys!
