So I had to go to a meeting and left my sister in the car she turned it on and had it running with ac for about an hour. Now it shows Service engine light and starts but stalls right out. I waited a while with it completely off and then it started but was shaky and stalled out when I pressed the accelerator pedal.

Could it have overheated? No messages are on other than check engine all systems read okay oil is okay everything.

What could this be!!?

I would suggest to get a code reader, read the codes. That will give us a idea of what may be wrong. I dont think the car will overheat to that extent, i heard the car turns off itself (when too hot)

Yea it'll have to be in the morning I feel like it's too hot but doesn't feel so when I open the engine bay. It reads 70 miles on gas so I definitely have gas because it honestly feels like it ruins out of gas.

idling an engine for an hour is not good.
try to get it started, and drive it hard for a bit.
engines that idle a long time can get carbon buildup and exhaust buildup, since the car is not running hot to clean things out. not to mention, oil flow is real low at idle.

Could be carbon build up but never had that happen to me personally. Also when you try to start the car, is the cranking longer than usual? Could point to a fuel pump issue.

Okay so I got the car some gas because it was bugging me that it felt like it did even though it read 70 miles of gas. I though what if it thinks it has that because it was stationary you know just wishful thinking of not wanting to drop a few thousand dollars on repairs.

Turns out it was the gas after all. I went to get 5 gallons and started it up and it ran just fine. No more service light or shakiness. I was still unsure about it so I drove it around for a bit and it was running fine.

Thank you all for your replies and yes this has taught me not to let this happen again for the reasons stated by other members such as carbon build up and overheating.

I've driven my tank past the point where it was showing a range of 30km (18 miles) and it was fine.
