07 530I won't stay on please help
So I had to go to a meeting and left my sister in the car she turned it on and had it running with ac for about an hour. Now it shows Service engine light and starts but stalls right out. I waited a while with it completely off and then it started but was shaky and stalled out when I pressed the accelerator pedal.
Could it have overheated? No messages are on other than check engine all systems read okay oil is okay everything.
What could this be!!?

Your engine is really hot. Without ram air augmenting via the front grill thru undercarriage, the engine bay and surrounding accessories are extremely hot. A very hot cylinder head (houses the coils and plugs) can affect how the plugs fire and in extreme cases cause detonation and engine failure. The head gasket could blow or even worse a cracked block. This is why I tell my wife to never ever leave the car running stationary for long periods of time especially with the ac on.
