My 2006 535xi did not come with an AUX port, so I'm in the process of installing one. I used the BimmerGeeks coding tool to enable the AUX port on the CCC, and then pulled the CCC from the dash to install the AUX port connector.

The problem I have is that when I connect the AUX cable to my iPhone's headphone jack, the CCC reboots. If I leave the iPhone cable plugged in, CCC is in a continuous state of reboot. I can hear that he DVD drive doesn't attempt to load the navigation disc. Once I unplug my iPhone, the CCC fully comes up to normal, including to the AUX input screen. Plugging in the iPhone and the reboot process all happens again.

I have the premium HiFi sound with the pro navigation system.


My understanding is the AUX port pin out is:
Pin 2: AUX R
Pin 7: AUX L
Pin 8: AUX ground

Anyone encountered this? Any suggestions?

You need to recheck your pins. Something is grounding it out.
