I have a 2005 525i and I've been looking for spark plugs online. Do I have a N52 engine or M54? I've been on seemingly dozens of auto sites looking for spark plugs and it seems to be a 50/50 split where some sites are saying that I have a M54 engine, whereas others say I have a N52.

I'm debating between OEM Bosch and NGK Iridium plugs.

Can someone please clarify exactly what engine model I have?

thx

If it was built Jan 05 or before its M54, feb 05 could be either M54 or N52, from March 05 onwards it will be N52. I got this info from realoem.com.

Also of note, mine has a build date of May 2005 and it was sold as an 06.
