Hi all !

First of all I apologize if this issue has been addressed before (probably) and this is a repost, please don't flame me for not using the search bar . i tried my best to look up relevant info in regards with the issues i have on my car right now.

So here is the description of what is wrong.

Since Last Night, I have been noticing this whistle sound as I brake and eventually a complete stop. It goes away if i give it some gas, and it comes back after the revs drop back down.

Then, I started noticing the engine shaking (while at complete stop). It seems that every time i start the car, the engine shakes a lot for a few seconds, then it stops. the whistle sound doesn't stop. Also, I've notice that the interior lights (welcoming lights when doors are opened) are flickering as the engine shakes.

I popped the hood , trying detect where the sound is coming from, it MAY be the timing belt making that whistle noise, im not too entirely sure.

Does anyone have idea what may be causing the engine to shake , interior lights to flicker, and the whistle sound?

THANKSS

it seems that your whistle sound is more intensive , higher pitch.

I am not sure how accurate the video audio depicts the actual sound but its somewhat similar.

Do you experience engine shake on start up while engine is hot (not cold start) ?

How many miles does your car have? . You could have bad pcv valves. They are on the valve covers. Take off the plastic cover and check the rubbers. They could be causing vacuum leaks and the shaking and whistle. My car did it and used to stall at stops. I popped the first one off and it was fine and when I took off the other one it was completely dry rotted and ripped. Installed both new ones and car ran mint.

There ya go. It's a 10 min job if you don't rush. It's a cheap fix. Hope it works.

Hi guys.

this is late as ever but better late than never !

so my car had lots of problems, wasn't sure exactly which one was it that caused engine to shake on start up and the whistle sound. most likely because of crank case valves.

my car had few things replaced: vacuum pump(seal was worn out and thus leaking engine oil), crankcase valve, thermostats, O2 sensor software update.

after replacements of these parts my car was as smooth woot
