Are you sure? I have a 05 545i with sport seats. It has good lumbar support. You adjust it with the round (4 arrows button) on the side of the seat. It also has the leg support.
It was a $200 option in 2004, it became standard in 2005.

I purchased a 04' 545/Sport earlier this year. The seats are still killing my back!!! Several people said that I would get use to it or the seat would break in more. Has anyone else on this forum experienced the same pain and come up with a creative way to solve it?
I feel for you, the 04 sport seats along with the tire issue was why I got out of my lease 18 months early. My 04 didn't have lumbar suppot either ans no matter what, I was never able to find the right seat adjustment. I'm sorry for you, but BMW really screwed up on this model and resovled modt issues with the 550. Good Luck.

I really appreciate everyones posts, they have been a tremendous help to me. I will give it a couple of more months and if nothing gets better; I'll start looking for another 545 or 550. Hurting back and all, I'm sold on BMW and couldn't imagine driving anything else.

I used to get right hip pain with driving the car in traffic (05 545i sport seats) even after trying umpteen different seat adjustments, One of several reasons I had to sell.

I found the sport seats in my 05 545i to be very uncomfortable at first but got used to it and now I find them good. Not as good as comfort seats mind you.
