My Ride: 04 530i

Does the 04 come with a Valeo or a Bosch! From reading on here it sounds like it's a Valeo, all the part stores say Bosch

Probably could be either/or. Depends. With BMW I notice they use different vendors for electronics spontaneously.

yeah it really depends, if you look down on top of the alternator the Valeo ones have a sticker on top. I've noticed the bosch ones have a sticker on the back side of the alternator.
