My Ride: 2007 525i Black/Black Sport, Prem, 6M, Sirius
So I just purchased a set of 123 style rims (with summer tires) off of a fellow E60.net member. They came off of his 2004 5er.
I bought them so I can easily swap out my winter/summer tires, but I'm realizing that nothing on this car is that easy.
The 04's didn't come with the TPMS system that my 07 stock 122 rims have, they just have the rubber stems.
What kind of trouble am I looking at? How can I mount my new 123's without spending loads of cash at the stealer?
Help is greatly appreciated!

And Now, on top of it, I go to take one of my winter wheels off, just to see the scope of this project, and one of the lug nuts is weird, i can't even get it off....help is appreciated!

Done a bit of research and found out a few things:
1.) You want to have TPMS mounted if you are running run-flats (you won't be able to tell a flat/loss of pressure otherwise)
2.) TPMS is mounted on the rim, inside of the tire, therefore, if i did hate TPMS installed, the tires would have to come off (diffifult to get RFT's off), TPMS installed, and tires remounted, then put on the car...$$$$
3.) I may have made the wrong purchase....seems like the better route might be to re-sell the 123's I bought and just have my summers remounted on me 122's, then come next winter make a decision about getting non-OEM rims mounted on the snows...
I feel stupid...
Comments? Anyone want to buy a set of 123 rims/tires for dirt cheap?

You'll need to install a TPM sensor on each rim and they're roughly about $50/ea. You can get the sensors from many places - folks on this forum, eBay, dealers, etc. If you don't have sensors in your rims, then you'll get an annoying message on your iDrive. You're probably looking at spending $350 for sensors, mounting, and balancing. If you like the 123s, then keep them and just spend the money... OEM wheels are nice because they fit perfectly. The 17" 122s are better for winter driving anyway.
Good luck,
Pat
