I think I hear 2 different chirping/ticking noises from the back of the engine, but it may be the same source. Does this sound familiar?

It sounds like the fuel injectors are in motion. Unless the car shakes and rattle, I think it's normal. Mine "kind of" sound like that.

Nope, no shake or rattle. Just think that's a bit not normal?

i think thats the sound of the lifters. That could be normal. but with a valve adjustment, i think it will be much better.

When I first noticed such similar sound on my car, I said to myself "WTF!?" I paid almost $60k in cash on this car because I did not want to be in debt nor
"take over the previous owner's problem(s)"! I didn't over paid for subpar standards.

Sometimes the disappointment gets worse when I can't accept the fact that my car has annoying vibrations (interior cabin with windows up and A/C off) while it "idles steady" at around 600 RPM.

I guess I expected too much for my hard earned money. And such defects may either be BMW's way of generating extra source of revenue or simply a failure to compete with other car manufacturers' engineering.

Unless you want to throw some cash and/or accept lost time at the dealer for something they may or may not be able to fix , learn to ignore it or live with it.

Sounds like the car is starting to tick, like it's the lifters. If it gets louder get the car checked out.
