wasnt that what the original poster ask? if "Style 5" (the ones he posted) were stock on the 540? I didnt think they were, the ones i posted were stock for the 540. the other ones in post #1 maybe stock but was it on the 540?

My point was that the ones you posted were not stock on a 1998 540 (which is what the OP was asking...)

I was just curious to know when the last year was for these wheels to be on factory cars... and I wasn't sure if they were even factory.

Not sure of the last year they had them but I believe the other posters were correct in that they were called "style 5". I don't think they were standard but were more likely an option. I purchased a set used around 2000 for my 98 e39.
