Problem with bmw E39 misfiring when cruising
Hello guys ,
Am new to bmw,I've just bought a bmw e39 year 97 525 tds
Am having a problem when cruising at about 2500 or 3000 rpm the car misfires
At first when i first bought it i had no power at all so i have changed my mass air flow meter i ve raplaced it with a used one
Since that the car runs fine
But as from that time it has started to misfire
So i have diagnose the car using dis/gti(The bm technic package )
As from here i get two faults :
1.Needle motion sensor
2.Exhaust gas recirculation deviation
The needle sensor one when i delete it,it does not come back after 5 days it comes back i think this is due to the egr.
So what i ve done recently is i ve cleaned the mass airflow meter with air flow meter cleaner
Cleaned the egr changed it vacuum hose
Cleaned the pressure boost sensor
The Exhaust gas recirculation deviation fault stays on everytime i diagnose the car
A help of what to do next from you guys will be appreciated
Thanking you all in advance
