I recently changed all the Ignition coils, spark plugs and oxygen sensors in my 2001 530i. Now the car doesn't idle correctly. I've confirmed that I installed the correct parts. It wasn't running bad before I changed the parts out, Engine has 190k, never had an issue before. I changed out the parts simply because of the high mileage.

Any insight or help would be appreciated!

 

Did you swap the o2 with genuine BMW sensors or Bosch ones? Or were they aftermarket? I've heard negative things about the the cheaper variants of sensors.

 

I removed the aftermarket ones and replaced them with Bosch. So far so go, the normal idle has returned and its drivable again. Thanks for the heads up, it was much appreciated!
