Hello to the forum. This is my first post.

I bought this nice garaged 528i with only 65000. Belonged to my father in law who drove it soft and did regular maintenance at the dealer. But after a few days of driving it, I started to notice strange things that happen from time to time but not constantly.

1. First the radio and all the audio would have a AM sounding static coming from all the speakers no matter if I had the radio or cd or tape playing. That went away.

2. The ac sometimes cools, but sometimes not. The fan works, and everything else seems fine. Had the ac serviced i.e. tubes flushed and coolant from a local tuneup oil place. But that didn't help. Sometimes it works right when you start the car and then stops cooling and then its blowing warm air.

3. Sometimes the electric seat works and sometimes not. When you turn the car off and on again, it usually works again.

I read on another thread that the radio issue might be the TCU and the TCU might be effecting the other issues as well. So I found a used TCU and purchased it as I heard getting from the dealer would be $$$. However I cannot locate the unit on the car. Looked in the trunk where the CD changer is, but cannot see it at all.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I love this car and hope it will not turn into a money pit.
