Power steering fluid in passenger well

Power steering fluid in passenger well
Hi guys I'm new to the site.
I have an E34 530i V8 95 reg.
Recently there has been fluid leaking into the passenger foot. A local garage diagnosed it was power steering fluid coming from the brake booster? The brakes work fine but when stationary the pedal creep down when pressed. They said it needed a part that new would cost about £600 from BMW.
Has anybody else experienced this and if so any cheaper ideas for a fix?
