where can i find the M5 i-drive control knob?

havent even gotten my E60 yet, but already have some plans for it. i really dig the idrive control knob on the M5, is it possible to buy this and install it?

How difference i-drive control knob between normal E60 & M5 ? If it is good, I want to change also.

the two i-drive knobs are different. see the attached pictures. the new i-drive knob on the 5 series has a leather top i think. thats the only difference between the one pictured here and the actual newer knob on the 5 series. the M5 knob just looks cooler.

the cost for the M5 knob is $77, according to my dealer.

im doing it.

I got and installed it from the BMW dealer for abt. EUR 50/USD 60.
Waiting to see pics of your new car as soon as they will be available.

Do you know the part number ? I am thinking of getting one too for my 2005 E60.

Part no. is 65827837807 from realoem.com. I have one on my 550 and it is nicer. Spun aluminum in a titanium anodized finish.

Finally, I ordered the control knob from Circle BMW in NJ and the total price was about $68 including shipping. The part was non-return nor refund because it was for M5 not 530i or 545i. I popped out the stock knob and pressed in the new knob, done. Stock knob is made of plastic and M5 knob is made of aluminum.
