No, it's not just you. I like the chrome on black too. But I would not have it on silver, for example.

Excellent job, thanks for the detailed DIY post.

I asked a BMW certified body shop here and they told me it would be extremely difficult to perform the job and wanted to charge me over 1000USD to do it. According to them, they would need to tear apart the door to install the shadow line trim.
