hi, has anyone fitted a cmputor to the rgb interface on the nav tv input, i am thinking of connecting a computor to the car and need to connect a standard video outlet 15pin to the rgb input red, green, blue, sync, ground are the i believe inputs on nav tv ,or do i need a converter or is there just a simple connection plug. what problems do you think i will encounter.at the moment its all thoughtsbut looking to other peoples ideas solutions?
the other alternative is just to feed a seperate touch screen,
what thoughts do you have?

I don't think the NavTV or any of the competitors provides you an RGB input. It provides a simple Video RCA connector input. You can always buy an S-Video to Video RCA chord and connect it. They call it the RGB unit because the unit converts your input into the RGB signals recognised by the BMW screen.

the drawback is you really need touch screen,to be efficient, and you could use a infra red remote pad, keyboard, or mouse from the computor.
the only thing is in the front ther isnt a lot of room so you would have on show a monitor attracting attention and bunch of more leads to feed forward.
so maybe best to just use a monitor in back boot mount the computor and let the wife drive
someone must have done this so maybe the thread will show some working options.

I remember seeing a post here where someone has connected a PC in the car. Maybe a search for that will atleast give you some ideas.
