What you Need -

*600 & 2000 wet/dry sand paper
*PlasticX
*Car Wax -

Step #1 look at your head lights =]

Step #2 use wet sandpaper 600 grid to clear all the nasty lumps/ try to sand it gently so it wont make deep scratches & use lots of water

Step #3 wipe down and see the progress the headlight should look cloudy

Step #4 use 2000grid wet sandpaper for cleaner finish/ use lots of water

Step #5 wipe the headlight completely clean

plasticX

apply it like wax

now use any car wax and wax the headlights

passenger side

Nice, thanks for the share.

What I would recommend though, is to either tape around the headlights so you don't accidentally sand anywhere you don't want to, or take out the headlight.

In addition, instead of PlastX, if you have a buffer or orbital tool, I would use the $3 TurtleWax and buff it. It came out much smoother looking for me.

Would this method work if you have some kind of dried chemical on my headlight, I have this clear white residue or something on my headlight which i tried to clean it with alcohol and glass scrub. Nothing works, would this restoring method work since your sanding it?

xenonrider: I think I used 1500, 2000, and 2200. But I guess the original poster used 600, so maybe it's okay, lol.
