resetting oil change in idrive

Hi,
Tried this pushing button thing and nothing!! I can see all those logos came up but as soon as i push again to reset it, it goes back to main screen (or exclamation mark) and all oil, filter etc cames again...

Hi, anyone there know what is the code.. when you switch to on. there is 3 stage before starting the car. first stage turn the key slightly on and the light appear. if u press on the reset button for 10 sec than it come out some code like cm72xxxx type of thing tah press again it appear some code word. what is this ar.. any expert advise

Anyone know how to reset the oil service on the push button ignition? Is it the same as the turn key? I had the dealer change my oil at the 1yr mark (10k miles). My 16k oil service light is on.

Same here! I changed both front and rear pads on my 05 545 today. The rears were at -600 miles and the fronts were at 4900 miles before replacement.
having replaced them and trying to reset the numbers using the method as described, the rears now show -15000 miles and the fronts show -9000 miles!
I think I followed the instructions pretty carefully and here's what happens :-
1. Ignition switch on and reset trip counter to zero
2. Turn key off and on again and hold in trip reset button for 5-10 secs
3. Service triangle appears and I can move to the rear pad service icon
4. Hold in the trip button and the word "reset?" appears
5. release and reapply trip button and the -15000 goes to 4 dashes ---- then goes back to -15000
If I do the same for the front pads I get exactly the same result except the number goes back to -9000
Anybody got any ideas?

i had a quick question... i couldnt find it anywhere.. i have an 06 525i and i am about to do an oil change... no more warranty. what motor oil, the grade and how many do you use on the car. couldnt find it anywhere.. thanks for all your help
