resetting oil change in idrive

I tried it on my 2004 530i and the stuff that came up in that little window in the instrument cluster was in German!!! WTF??

hey guys, one small question.using this procedure can i also reset on how many km the next oil change should be done. can i set a number like 10 000 or 11 000 or 8 000.as desired.or is the a default number that is set forth?

mext oil change is @ 25,000 km.Can this be? My Sister's honda has its oil change every 7,000km. How can an oil endure 25,000?
Is it possible? what is the optimal oil change that should be done in km?

ohhh ok.very good.i thought that it REALLY needed 25k!!! so it depends on the oil condition, and not km wise.

you can have it last that long but the performace will down grade fast and you will loss mpg out of it too.
If you planning on keeping the car for a long time like me ( 7 to 8 years) then I would change the oil at 8000km but if you going to sellit in a year or 2 then dont bother if you do trust the computer
