reset airbag light

i accidentlly disconnected my drivers airbag while swapping steering wheels. forgot to disconnect battery. can i reset it without dealer? doe that tool they sell for like 140.00 work in resetting the error? dont mind buying it if i can use it. just hate going to dealer

They have a bunch of tools that you can buy. I had the Peake code reader. It didn't work for me so I sold it. Not sure if I was using it wrong though. They also have another one that runs through your computer and it works for just about all BMW's. It is called Bavarian Technics. It is more expensive but IMO worth the money. fyi found a place in bronx new york that reset for 40.00. he did it it took 2 minutes. this place also codes cars without any issue. spoke to him about coding an aux input he told me installation and coding 120.00. the dealer wanted 300.00 for this alone. he deals only with bmw. the place is called haus of bimmer. also i needed to replace active steering module. dealer wanted 1400.00. he found me a used module and total with install and coding is 450.00 950.00 cheaper than stealer.

I was going to tell you to visit them. Really good guys and price. I have to make a trip to them for the same things, air bag light and front drivers side active steering module...
