Replacement Headlight AND Remove Headlamps DIY
As long as the headlight is off there is no risk of shock, do not remove the battery cable.
The reason why the headlight cable is not removed is because of 2 things.
1. if you forget then you will have to remove the assembly all over again to plug it in.
2. There is a trick to removing them. On the big connector you must slide the sleeve to one side until it releases. On the small connector you have to squeeze the tang to remove it.
Make sure to test the headlight before you reinstall the assembly back in the car.

. Even dont know yet if I need D1s or D2s, but i guess ill find out during disassembly. Thanks...
had a difficult time removing the headlight unit.
See now that if i had removed the top five screws for the bumper, i would have had an easier time removing the headlights.
Great pics easy to follow.
Any suggestions on how to view this thread properly as the images on the first page are so massive that I can't actually read the text all the way across and also can't see the images fully as they are just too large...must be my crap monitor
