Rattling Door Lock Pins

My Ride: '03 530d SE - Pretty boring really!
The parts I have a problem with are the little buttons which protrude above the door trim panel when the door is unlocked and drop down when the door is locked. No problem on smooth motorways but rattle like mad on our Welsh B Roads.

I have the same problem. I went to the dealer and ordered the door lock "trim rings" off of an LCI E60. I was driving a loaner a while back (2008 528xi), and noticed that the door locks didn't rattle. I then noticed that the "trim rings" had a sort of rubber coating on them and had a much tighter fit around the door locks. I will see how things go. Should be an easy install as well.

did you finally install these? I have the same problem in my 04'530 and want to fix it.
