Radar Detector in Car

I don't know b/c I did NOT hard wire until after I had already returned the escort. The valentine uses a red to hot and black to ground, then it has a module that you plug one end of the telephone cord into, and the other end of the phone cord goes into the radar detector itself.

Im in south Texas, and I always leave mine on the windshield. I used to take it off but I don't care anymore. When my car is parked its either at work where there is plenty of security, in my garage. I try not to worry about other places.
