My RD Sport dual/quad-tip exhaust is too loud, even with 16" resonators. I may see if there's a high density material to put in the trunk under the carpet and possibly behind the back seat. Has anyone tried this? Has anyone removed their lower back seat or installed sound insulation to reduce exhaust noise? I love the sound of the exhaust from the outside, but I don't really care to hear it on the inside of the car with the windows up.
Thanks!
This probably should have been posted in the Modifications section...

I and even couple of friends have tried using damping materials in a useless fight against low freqvency vibrations, believe me, it does not work... only doable solution is to use HelmHoltz type resonator (measure at which freq the worst is happening and count the appropriate tube that you weld parallel to the existing exhaust pipes)... use a bit of google and you find math background needed to get the idea about lenghts and D of tubes .-)
