First off the car is a 04 (03 build) 545i. Me and a friend are trying to program my car for AUX and MP3. We're running into a problem once we try to write to the LMA. The CAS will write fine and even after reloading NCS we can see that the CAS did in fact write. Every time we switch ECU to LMA then click fa_write we get an error. My friend was at first using 3.0.8 NSC and this is the error we would get.

Then we installed NCS 3.1.0 and when we would try to write the LMA again we would get this error instead.

Any coding experts that can shine some light on my problem?
Sorry for large pictures.

That normally means you need updated datens. What version datens are you using and which LM do you have? It sounds like your datens may be too new or too old for your LM. Check the zb number against your ecu folder and see if you have it. Either way I would update datens then give it another try.
By the way, my aux is not working it came factory but its not working for some reason. Do you know what exactly needs to be coded in CAPPL? I just want to check to make sure all is well, it shows in my entertainment menu but nothing happens when I select it.

The datens were updated right after my friend installed the newer version of NSC. I'll have him check the ZB number when he gets back to me. As for the CAPPL from what I'm reading online its either AUX_CONFIG = mounted or AUXIN in MASK module set to aktiv.

I cannot vouch for your friends' setup but this is a very straight forward DIY. I think I already gave you directions. You may have the wrong Ediabas version or outdated datens. You need edibas 6.4.7. Do not think later is better or bigger is better. As far as daten files I would assume you have V32 at the least. I also think it could be setup wrong.
