Hello everyone, I'm try to install a AUX input on my 2004 530i follow this guide.

But I run in to a problem when I took out the CCC unit. I don't have any 12 pins plugs in the back and the 16 pins plug I only have few pins and wires from 9 pin to 16 pin have no wires or pins from 1 to 8 pins and pin 10 and 16 are also empty. I just wounder if it still be able to get it to work if I run my own wires to the pin 2,7,8 and 10. and for the Ground Pin 10 do I just need to run a wire from this pin to the body frame and have a switch on it? If any one can help me out thank you in advance! and here is a pic of back of my CCC unit.

ok. I got some results back.
today I hook everything up and test out the new input followed bruce and rudeja guide. I got sound but only in the front speakers, rear and bass has no sound!! I don't know why is that. if some one can give me some input on this would be great! bruce? rudeja? or anyone??

the way that I hooked up is:
on X13813 plug

pin7 for the right
pin2 for the left
pin8 for the ground

and I hooked up a switch on Pin10 and Pin 12 on the X13812 plug. since the Pin12 is the "terminal 31, earth" so when I turn on the switch it will mute the radio, which worked great.

but I only get the two front speakers, I guess if is used for bluetooth and making calls only have the front two speakers then it will do just fine.
but for listen to music only have two speakers would really suck!! I'm hope is that I missed something and can get all speakers to work....

Sorry to bring this back from the dead. But, I have the same issue as the OP.....no x13812 plug. Anyone know a solution? Will I need to purchase the actual retrofit kit?
