M-HUD working on my 2008 LCI. However, the graphic RPM meter doesn't seem accurate to me. It's designed/calculated for 9000RPM on M5, so you're actually at 6000 (almost redlining), but still in the green zone on the HUD.

Gears are working OK but you need to drive in sport mode and engage at least one manual shift to display gears.
Thanks.
How do you toggle between Mview and normal view? ...via HUD idrive menu or Mdrive menu?
My rpm range seems accurate - probably cause I've got the M5 cluster - but, still need to figure out how to make the display stay on for more than 30sec

Teleservice enables the car to reports its own service requirements, the dealership then calls you to confirm the booking. Introduced from march 2007 with the LCI production.

Requires settings in both CAPPL and TCUM plus a valid BMW Assist account is needed for Teleservice to function.

Add $6AA Teleservice and $6AB Teleservice control to the VO.
CAPPL:-
TELESERVICE aktive
TDA_ASC_STATUS aktive <- Auto sercive call status in CBS menu.
TDA_BDA_STATUS aktiv <- not sure on this one.
TDA_CFG_AUTO_TRIG aktiv <- not sure but could be linked to ASC.
TDA_CFG_CUST_MOBILE_USE aktiv <- this should be enabled by default.
TDA_CFG_HLC_DATA aktiv or night_aktive <- Teleservice hotline call, mine is off as i don`t need it.
TDA_CFG_IND_PDM_GR_NBR file0 <- not sure for this one, file0 is default.
TDA_CFG_SER_ERR_SINK aktive <- default is aktive.
TDA_CFG_VEHICLE_SER aktive <- linked to vehicle service data.
TDA_DEACTIVATE_STATUS aktive <- allows deactivation of the Teleservice system.
TDA_HLC_STATUS aktive or nicht_aktive <- shows the status of the Teleservice hotline.
TDA_MSC_STATUS aktive or nicht_aktive <- shows the status of the Teleservice mobile service.

TCUM :-
AUTO_SRVC_CALL aktive <- enables the car to make it`s own service calls.
AVAIL_SERVICES_REPORTING long <- not sure what this does but mine was set to short.
NEW_MYINFO_LOC aktive <- LCI Assist my info.

iDrive -> Info/Settings -> Display -> HUD -> M-view

Mdrive menu doesn't seem to do anything, and enabling Mdrive disables secondary steering wheel button, probably because M5 doesn't have it.

Haven't tried yet, but if Mdrive is nich_aktiv in CAPPL, does still M-view HUD work (meaning the secondary steering wheel button would work too?)

Note that this should be set to "aktiv", not "active" or "activ". Took me a few minutes to figure out. Works on "aktiv".

PDC volume:

In PDC ECU:

default:

LAUTSTAERKE_HINTEN
e65
e60
RR1
e70
wert_06

changed last line to wert_02.

Has no effect on rear PDC volume. Anyone here tinkered with it already with positive results?

On my E46 (also works on E39) I liked that I was able to store the angle of a tilted passenger mirror (curb feature). On E60, it just always tilts down completely as far as possible - many times this is not ideal, e.g. when parking next to walls, fences and some higher positioned objects. I almost hit a wall corner recently in an underground garage. Ideal position is something in between the normal tilt and full tilt. That way you can see the curbs and other objects as well.

On E46 and E39 there was a "MEMORY_SPIEGELABKLAPPEN" coding option. Anyone knows which ECU on E60 is used to code memory/mirror functions?

On your 2008 the mirror functions are in the KGM module, if you have memory or comfort seats then you will also have memory mirrors. Mirror functions are :-

ASP_BEIKLAPPEN <- folding
ASP_BORDSTEIN <- passenger kerb function
ASP_EC_INPUT <- not sure what this does
ASP_LIN_SPIEGEL <-Tells the KGM to send mirror control codes over the LIN bus.
ASP_MEMORY <-mirror memory function
ASP_STANDHEIZUNG <- not sure, translation is stand heating
BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL <-mirror comfort folding

and thats it im afraid. I have yet to get mirrors to auto dim after I did SA430 auto dim/folding mirror retrofit.
