I think it's unrelated to coding. It does that from the factory. I've found in the manuals that it's just a cornering lamp doing exactly that - helping you see objects and area in the corners when cornering, backing up, etc.. And it's great at night.

Sorry for "hijacking" this thread..

Will this cable work for me ? http://www.ebay.de/itm/VAG-KKL-EDIAB...ht_3561wt_1141

I also have a VW Polo (2003), and as I understand it, this cable can be used on the E61 with Ncsexpert and VAG-COM for my VW.

I spent all afternoon figuring out to how to code and successfully coded some features. The hardest part for me was finding a computer that had windows xp on it. I finally found my dad's old dell desktop computer and set everything up. I will eventually install a copy of xp on my laptop. That in itself in another challenging. Thanks for all the knowledge people have posted on here.

Hey Experts - quick question

I was trying to code the autofold rear view mirrors. I certainly have the functionality (and use the button inside the drive's door to close them, and they support autodim). I tried to change ASP_BORDSTEIN, ASP_BEIKLAPPEN & BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL but natively they are set to active, active and third function does not exist.

Do I just need to add the B..._B_K... function manually? I read through the entire 30 pages, but couldn't find anything relevant.

For whats its worth, I have a 08 LCI.

Thanks guys - this is awesome.
