Have you read any of the NCS and coding threads in the DIY section?, please go and do that first and then come back.

Coding is the easy part but you need to know the limitation of your car first.

For the US E60 coders this one, I believe the US nav has a male voice for spoken insructions, heres how to change it to the euro female voice.

Read a trace from CAPPL

We have a male voice for voice instructions and a female voice for nav. I never tried these settings because I assumed it just switched them or something. Have to give it a go.

I forget what forum I was in but someone was asking how to switch to some type of british voice. The closest I got was in the module trace file you see which voices where made available for the user to choose from in the idrive menu's - mine is spanish, french and english I think. There are 2 interesting choices in the large list in the trace file - one is listed as US and another as English. I wonder if US=US english and English = the Kings English ?

Haha, I have sprecher_weiblich as stock - I tried to change it to sprecher_maennlich to no avil. Funny how we always want the opposite of what we have. All those years of German lessons are barely paying off with NCS...
