MMMM incorrect dood, CAPPL is the CCC aps and applies to 2003- march 2009, the CIC was introduced march 2009.

Thank you, NoQuarter (Jim) for providing your CAPPL trace file to compare.
It turns out that it's the switch in HUD trace file was not set correctly.
Mine now shows gear in manual mode, N and R.
However, when I first switch to DS, I cannot downshift. When I upshift, it's M2. This is different from what normally is. Not sure if setting MDRIVE_SMG from "aktiv" to "nicht_aktive" cause the issue?
Will look into that tomorrow.
Cheers,
Fred

I recently replaced my brake bulbs with LEDs, and now im trying to remove the bulb checks, but the car is fighting me harder then i thought it would,

From the LMA module,

KALTUEBERWACHUNG_BL_L
nicht_aktiv
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_BL_R
nicht_aktiv
KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_1_L
nicht_aktiv
KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_1_R
nicht_aktiv

WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BL_L
nicht_aktiv
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BL_R
nicht_aktiv
WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_1_L
nicht_aktiv
WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_1_R
nicht_aktiv

FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_BL_L
nicht_aktiv
FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_BL_R
nicht_aktiv
FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_1_L
nicht_aktiv
FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_1_R
nicht_aktiv

With all this removed, it still produces and error, any hints?

Full trace avalible here should it be needed.

To keep LCI (maybe pre-lci also??) AE's stay bright:

Go into LMA and look for:

PWM_AN_SL_V_AL_1_34
wert_06 - ** Change to wert_01 **

Sorry I made a new thread about it - got too excited, haha.

I am real curious how this will change the look at night for those running LED LCI AE's.

I had an SOS System Malfunction Error that I could not clear- even with INPA. The bluetooth functionality was still working fine. I tried the published trick of deleting the phone from the car (and the car from the phone) and then reestablishing the bluetooth connection, but the error would keep appearing at start-up.

I changed the value of E-CALL_HARDKEY_FITTED in the TCUM module to nicht_aktiv. I turned off the key, waited for 10 seconds and when I turned the key back on the error code was cleared and I no longer had the error. I didn't have an account anyway I and I don't plan on getting an account so the functionality isn't something that I'm going to miss. It sure beats going to the dealer and getting a new module installed!

I can have a go with the bright AE at night in a little while, but i really need some input on how to disable the rear brakelight warnings on LCI cars.

This is from my experience, and I haven't looked into it all that much, but it seems that disabling cold/warm alone in LMA doesn't suppress the checks like it does for every other lighting part. I had tried to do this to see if I can save a step to do the special brake effects, but it was a no go.

If anything, you can apply resistors and you'll be fine.

Oh, and we should also add to the google doc that turning off the amber eyebrow is:

LMA

SIDEMARKER_US
nicht_aktiv

I did this out of curiosity and it turns out I like the way it looks better.

Just to goof around I am going to turn the eyebrow into my front turn signal...might look awful, but fun is fun.
