+1, you need to set up a virtual XP system to run NCSE. It flat out will not run on a 64 bit OS.

Thanks for that, I found my old laptop that is windows xp and decided to install it there instead. I'm also getting an error when I try to add something to my VO (Vehicle Order). If anyone is willing to help me out I can post the error logs. On a side note is this the correct place I should be posing about this topic?

This is most definitely the right spot to be posting this!

Post up the error logs, I'll see if I can help. I'm comfortable using BMW Tools, but if we can't solve your problems here I'd suggest signing up for bmwcoding.com's forum and searching there. The people on that forum are pretty advanced as far as troubleshooting software goes.

Post up the error you're getting.

Ok so I've been trying many things to get this to work. But I keep getting the same error. I am going to upload a screen shot of the message and a screen shot of the Error Log. any ideas or advice would be great.

What is the production date on your car?

I'm wondering if you have the right cable. There are two versions, DCAN and KCAN. some cable will only work with one or the other, some will do both. The difference in the cables is whether or not pins 7 and 8 are bridged together. Make sure you are using the correct cable for your car.
