Whats Up Everyone ? I changed my foglights today, it was farely easy, thanks to the demo pics available here. The store I bought the replacement bulbs from were out of PIAA so I bought Silverlight bulbs seem to have same effect, plus about 1/2 the price. I also changed the daytime lights to a more whiter bulb actually same 4000K , but it is not matching the fogs(they are silverlight as well). Is there a way to turn off the daytime lights ?? Any help would be great thanks!

The dealer is the only one who can de-activate the daytime running lights...

You mean sylvania silverSTARs?? ya I did that with the Daytime running lights too and it didnt match... Its because DRL are powered at 1/2 power. I wish there was an option to change DRL in the iDrive.

How much did you pay for the SilverStars?

Yeah Silverstars thats it. They cost $18 each. The PIAA were $ 86 for the pair. So far so good. If I were to buy a higher kevlin bulb would it help at all on the DRL? Also is the angel eyes bulb replacable to a brighter bulb as well, if so is it hard to change?

I bought the silver stars for my DRLs and PIAA for the fogs... IMO you cant tell that much difference on the DRLs because they are only at half power. So for the price of the silverstars at $24 each its not worth it for DRLs but if its $15 each then its ok... Thats how much I got them for. The silverstars are a little whiter on the DRLs but not much. BUT they are a lot whiter if you flash someone.

$86?? I got them from ebay for $70 shipped. straight from Japan. A canadian seller was selling it and contacted his supplier in JP and it was shipped straight from there. When I was in the market for the bulbs Silver stars were $50 and so for $70 I went for the PIAA and I much prefer PIAA on the fogs, brighter than silverstars.

THEN when pepboys had a sale for the silverstars for $30 a pair I got those for the DRL.

Yup $ 86 at Autobarn. Well thats here in New York (discounts don't exist here). I'm happy with the silverstars, but if they blow or give me any problems then ill look on ebay rather then pay the NY price. Let me guess in So. Cal you probably pay 7 bucks for a pizza too?

I used to live on Long Island, and I'd trade the cost of living there (but not the weather <_< ) for that in the SF bay area any day!

Ya 7 bucks for pizza? THATS EXPENSIVE!!!! its $5 Ok ok its gross pizza but it can be done.

Honestly So Cal pricing is catching up to NY. its not that much of a difference anymore not as BIG I mean. Before like 5-7 years ago oh man everything was CHEAPer here compared to NY.

P.S. I was born there and my moms side of the family is all there so I goto NY quite often. Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island.
