Hi, I will be doing this one with the PIAA ION CRYSTAL (Yellow) Bulbs, They show 2 choices for the fogs, both are 55 watt bulbs but one has a (13516) 110 watt output and the other (13555) an 85 watt output. Both appear the same color, but one has more light.. Can anyone confirm if either would work or cause a problem (too much heat???, etc.). Note both are the single bulb part numbers.

Thanks

Did the fog install (PIAA 4150k Xenon white), DIY is perfect. It is less than 5 minutes a side. Here is a pic of the final product.

Can you help? I have a 535d and I need to get the whole front fog light assembly out of the spoiler so I can dry out the lenses having driven through some of the recent floods in UK. Can I do this from the front or is my only option to access it from the back via the wheel arch liner?
By the way the E60 works fine as a boat!!

Lots of good posts out there on this subject?thought I would share my technique with you. In the end it took me about 5 mins per side.

Using an 8mm socket remove these 4 screws
Attachment 4381

Here's another shot of 2 of the 4 screws
Attachment 4382

Using a Phillips loosen/remove these two fasteners (belly pan)
Attachment 4380

Slightly pull the wheel liner out
Attachment 4383

Another shot of the wheel liner pulled out
Attachment 4384

Pull the lower corner liner down and you?ll have easy access to the bulb?that?s it!
Attachment 4385

Here are the lights I used (about $65 on eBay /oem on left for comparison)
Attachment 4379

Here are a couple daytime pics of the results...

Hey - thanks for the great pix and DIY. What kind of bulbs did you use - I see PIAA but what model? Are they 50 or 60W? Any issues with the OBC? I have a 2005 545i E60 with OEM fogs at this time but am upgrading to the HID White angelibright v3.0 angel eyes and would like the fogs to look as white as possible...

Excellent pix. I hava a couple of questions:

1. What bulbs did you use exactly? Did they give you issues with the OBC? I have an 2005 545i E60 and do not want for this to be an issue. I am looking at getting PIAA Xtreme Light Plus Part # 19616. Here's the link: http://www.shopatron.com/product/par...er=19616/353.0

Your thoughts?

This DIY was great! One note however, if the car in question has headlight washers, it is a bit more difficult to swap out the bulb on the driver's side. All in all though, it was easy, straightforward and well explained by all of the pictures. Thanks again!

Welcome to the forums! Though your name is 2004 530i, it'll help us help you if you update your profile and sig info with location, model, and year as a minimum. Some may not realize the details are in your name. Thanks!

I just changed my foggies with AIB Xenon-Matched - what a difference! For the pre-LCI series, 9006 bulbs are standard - the same bulb as many US main headlight (and even the E36 Beemer headlight).
